Softube Tape vs Oxide

Hi Guys,

I am very satisfied with the Softube Tape Danny recommended, but on master buss he also uses rather AMPEX from UAD. I am considering to buy a master buss tape saturation plugin, and I got a very good offer from UAD for oxide. Is oxide better than Softube Tape for master buss?

I would say no, I have never used Oxcide on the master bus. It is okay on individual channels, has a ‘phat’ bottom end. However, I generally always prefer Studer or Softube Tape.

thanks, i think that’s all i wanted to know. i personally never meet oxide users, maybe it has a reason.
