In the NLS mastering course, it is stated that True Peak Limiting should be used for mp3s, but not club bangers. Could this be elaborated on? Given the fact tat many club tracks are compressed into mp3 format, and the definition of inter-sample distortion, I don’t understand why we wouldn’t want to always use True Peak Limiting?
