Hello everyone and happy almost new year! So I’m aware of how to do parallel routing involving the drums where you make a copy of the drums and then blend them back in with the stereo mix drums. Was wondering if you could do this with any other types of groups such as vocals or perhaps synths or whatever it may be. Would this be practical or is this a more exclusive technique for the drums?
Absolutely, I often parallel groups including drums, bass, synths, vocals if required. Don’t just parallel for the sake of it though. Have a reason, for example adding density/tone to a particular frequency range.
